Huntley Ferreira Safari's is a family business, with licensed professional hunters Huntley Ferreira, his son Hendrik, his daughter Magda –the bow expert – and his wife who fulfill the duty of hostess are all passionate about their work.
Huntley Ferreira Safari's has in the past accommodated hunters from every corner
of the world - the United States of America, Austria, Germany, New Zealand,
France, Cyprus, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Sweden, Canada and Spain.

History and Geographic Location:
The Farm Berlin is the oldest game ranch in its district and hunting is done on 20 000 acres.
The farm is situated in the Northern Province of South Africa, which is one of two neighbouring
provinces representing the northernmost border of South Africa, separated from Zimbabwe and
Botswana by the Limpopo River. Huntley Ferreira Safari's is located between Alldays and Swartwater,
and its offices are only 6 km (approximately 3 miles) from the limpopo river near the Platjan
border post. |

Fauna and Flora:
The farm mostly consists of Acacia savannah and, as the name suggests, the terrain is
made up of Acacia trees and sparse grassland. Acacia, Matopi, Boabab, Leadwood
(Hardekool) and Redbush Willow (Rooibos) trees flourish here and the hunting area will mainly
be flat. A large variety of grazers, browsers and even carnivores roam free on the ranch
and the average rifle hunting distance is 100 meters. |
Climate, Seasons and Rainfall:
As South Africa is in the Southern Hemisphere, the seasons are the opposite of those experienced
in Europe, the United States and the United Kingdom. Hunting season stretches from May to
September, predominantly winter months, with warm days and cool nights. The area has low summer
rainfall from September to April with temperatures ranging from a summer high of 30° Celsius
(87° Fahrenheit) to a low of 20° Celsius (68° Fahrenheit), and a winter high of 27° Celsius
(86° Fahrenheit) to a low of 6° Celsius (44° Fahrenheit) on average, with no frost . |
Specialties:
A maximum of six hunters can be accommodated at one time. Huntley Ferreira Safari's specializes in
Buffalo and Nyala, but all the outfit's trophies are of an exceptionally high quality, with almost all
species being in the "exceptional" trophy class. No matter which type of game you are interested in,
Huntley Ferreira Safari's can guarantee the best.

Achievements:
Furthermore, the outfit boasts trophy records for game such as Eland, Kudu, Gemsbok (Oryx)
and Impala. Extremely large herds of most species of game can be found on the farm. |

Huntley Ferreira Safari's is a member of the Professional Hunters' Association of South Africa (PHASA)
and Safari Club International (SCI). These organizations are known to promote the ethical hunting of
game and the eco-management thereof to ensure future hunting. |
